CALL FOR TELLERS: Deadline Sept. 20. 5th Annual Howell Scary Story Festival on October 23. Please join the Ann Arbor Storytellers’ Guild in presenting the Howell Scary Story Festival. A stipend will be provided to the tellers. Festival is presented at the Howell Opera House, 123 W. Grand River, Howell. The Moth StorySLAMs are held first Thursday of each month at Cliff Bell's, a bar/jazz club serving alcohol and food. 2030 Park Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226. Adults Only! $5 at door. Arrive by 6:00 pm to get in. Arrive earlier to get a seat. Bring a 5-minute true, personal story on chosen theme and put your name in hat. If chosen, tell your 5 minute personal, true story. Michigan’s Corinne Stavish brings stories from her Jewish American culture as a featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival. This jewel of a festival offers scintillating storytelling under big-top tents and against the backdrop of a charming Tennessee town. The weather is usually gorgeous and the experience is unique. November 13, Ann Arbor 7:30 pm Tellabration, an Evening of Storytelling for Adults, returns to Genesis of Ann Arbor, 2309 Packard Road. Presented by the Ann Arbor Storytellers Guild, proceeds from the concerts underwrites presentations at Washtenaw County schools by nationally touring tellers.
