These truly scary stories will be told by local and national storytellers, and will feature classis tales from Shirley Jackson and Brahm Stoker, as well as folk tales and contemporary original tales by the tellers. Turn off the lights, gather on the couch, and be prepared to shiver with fright as our talented storytellers chill you to the bone. You don’t want to miss this show! Story Arts of MN holds an online Story Circle (open mic) on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  This FREE event is open to everyone.  After registering, you'll receive an email message with the Zoom link.  Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/story-arts-of-minnesota-17294067957.  Bring your favorite seven-minute tale and your listening ears. All stories are welcome, including traditional tales as well as original true stories.  Both experienced and new storytellers are welcome.  We ask that you offer content warnings if the story might be challenging, and that you let others know if they can retell it. We are looking for 5 tellers from Michigan, who each will have 8 minutes to share a story with friends, family, and colleagues across the North Central Region between noon and 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 15. (Yes, we’re serious about the time limit). Places on the line-up will be strictly first come first served. We are producing this as a voluntary community sharing event – no one will be paid. Are you not an NSN member? That’s OK – if there are slots available, we want to celebrate Michigan stories and storytellers with everyone! If you’d like to tell, please send an email to Jennifer.Pahl.Otto@gmail.com. Deadline to sign up is November 1.This will be a free Zoom event with a maximum of 100 people at any one time. First Come, First Chosen Call for Storytellers

NSN North Central Region TellabrationTM Open House

Sunday, November 15, noon-8pm EST or 1-9pm CST

8 states are participating and, by random draw, Michigan has landed the noon to 1:00 pm Eastern or 1:00 to 2:00 pm Central slot.

We are looking for 5 tellers from Michigan, who each will have 8 minutes to share a story with friends, family, and colleagues across the North Central Region between noon and 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 15. (Yes, we’re serious about the time limit). Places on the line-up will be strictly first come first served. We are producing this as a voluntary community sharing event – no one will be paid. Are you not an NSN member? That’s OK – if there are slots available, we want to celebrate Michigan stories and storytellers with everyone! If you’d like to tell, please send an email to Jennifer.Pahl.Otto@gmail.com .

The sooner you sign up, the more likely it is that you get one of these sought-after slots! The deadline to sign up is November 1, but we will close sign-ups as soon as we get enough tellers.

This will be a free Zoom event with a maximum of 100 people at any one time. Audience members and tellers can come and go as long as there is room. Everyone participating, including tellers, MUST register here:
